I agree with you. The seller knows they're in the wrong and the least they should do is refund part/all of the return postage as a "goodwill" gesture, especially in view of the feeback you might leave.
In view of the hassle you've had, the state of the suit you received and the fact they've not offered to reimburse (at least in part) the returned item, I personally would be more inclined to leave negative feedback.Wins since 2009 = £17,600MANY THANKS TO ALL OPS0 -
Well, I finally managed to get the message through. Seems he was confused about it and thought he had refunded my return postage and thought I was asking for the special delivery to be refunded. When I sent a fourth email breaking down everything I'd paid and telling him to disregard the special delivery aspect, the penny finally dropped. Don't suppose there is much point asking him to reimburse my petrol and parking expenses, not to mention the cost of my time for queuing in the post office for 10 minutes!

In the end I left a fairly bland neutral saying that there was a problem with the suit but full refund given, thank you. At least if he tries to resell it in the next 3 months, someone might hear alarm bells ringing.
Thanks for all the advice given.0 -
the perils of buying on ebay are endless. buyer beware i say, so guess what i dont buy on ebay and therfore dont get any hassles.
sorry to hear about your misfortune though it must really do your head in having to wait in the post office for 10 mins along with parking and petrol, becuase of someone elses mistake .........A shadowy flight into the dangerous world of a man who does not exist.

Some people are far too kind.
When messed around like this, wait for the refund to be sorted out and leave a very strongly worded negative.
These sorts of people are the reason I stopped using eBay - too many scammers and too many scumbags selling tat.0 -
If the item isn't as the description why should the buyer lose money by paying postage? I think that is disgusting! I bought a heavy item which cost them £12 and It was used and dirty although it said new! when I requested a refund they said that they would only pay back the cost of the item!!! so I would have lost £24 for an item that was £35 ....It isn't right!!!! Anyone who does this I would steer well clear!
