Out of a 5 pack, I won 3 times.. 1st, 4th and 5th
All three times were fivers but I'm very grateful with the extra cash.
Does anyone know if Sainsburys still have their 2 for £2 offer on please? It's better to be an optimist who is sometimes wrong than a pessimist who is always right!
August freebies/ wins- local shopping centre giftcard £5, garnier moisturiser, blistex lipbalm (it's delicious), this water, 2x fullsize dove shampoo's, RUSH hair cut, models own makeup x2, nails inc. nail varnish (pink) x4, boots vouchers £20 :j

You can check all offers on mysupermarket and presumably sainsbury's website too.
I'm wondering what wrigley are thinking. If they give £5 away with every 10 packets, that works out to 50p per pack. So why are they giving away 50p per pack when it probably costs them 10p a pack to make? Of course not everyone will bother with the codes, but presumably they're hoping to boost sales and the people who do get attracted are the people who are going to try the codes which will cancel out their transactions. At best I can only imagine that they're hoping people will carry on buying after the end of the promotion.blossomhill wrote: »I too have been wondering about the chances of winning on first entries
I would have said 1 in 10 for the first one, 1 in 9 for the second and so on. However that assumes that there's exactly 1 winner in the 10 packs.0 -
Bit rusty on my probability, but I think the chances of winning 5 times in a row is 1 in 100,000!
The first wrapper will have a one in 10 chance of winning, so will the second, third etc. The chances of a string of winners is 1 in 10x10x10 etc
The probability of any one wrapper being a winner is 1 in 10, but that doesn't mean that you are certain to win once if you have 10 wrappers!
Because of the number of promotional packs in existance, you are not significantly reducing the chances of the next wrapper being a winner by opening one winning pack (and anyway, 9 other people would not have won by the same token).
Congrats to the MSE who won 3 out of 5 times! I reckon thats a 81 in 100,000 chance!0 -
Well first attempt and I won! At least that has covered my £4 outlay
Shame I hate chewing gum but I'll just give it away.

Correct, it's essentially an average. Some people could have no wins in 100 wrappers. That would be quite unusual but entirely possible. Others could win 10 in a row. There will be someone who gets 10 in a row.0 -

I believe the website shows its on promo until 1st Nov. Getting hold of promo stock might be another matterThe end is nigh0 -
Just put my first code in. Now to wait to see if I get an e-mail tomorrow. Only 49 more codes to go!PAYDOBX 2017 £660/3000

I went into Sainsbury in N'hampton yesterday but all of the 2 for £2 had gone! I'm guessing a few MSE's had got in before me. Today I was in P3t3rb0r0ugh and found another store, which had loads of the cool breeze one's left. I bought 10 packs, which I'm hoping will give me a good return! First code entered tonight, so just need to wait to see if I get an e-mail tomorrow. 1 down 49 to go!PAYDOBX 2017 £660/3000

I am musing about whether it's actually a 1 in 10 probability of picking a winning pack - I think it could be about a website with "random" generated "wins" that is loaded in favour of first entries, activating when someone first registers, and will be activated for 10% of entries overall - all supposition of course, I would never accuse any company of underhand tactics
A bit like the Vegas machines that are designed to keep punters interested by giving them an early winYou never know how far-reaching something good, that you may do or say today, may affect the lives of others tomorrow0 -

I am wondering what my bank is thinking giving away massive prizes to 3 savers each month instead of upping interest rates - does their marketing team really think this will bring in enough new customers to outweigh those of us who vote with our feet? You never know how far-reaching something good, that you may do or say today, may affect the lives of others tomorrow0 -

Perhaps but they say it's evenly distributed and independently verified. Also others have had more than one win. If it were pure gambling I might agree but it's not even though it feels like it.0
