Windhager wood pellet boiler

We had decided on a Daikin Altherma HT but while waiting for the installer to demonstrate a system to us the Windhager installer phoned up and reduced his quote by taking away the weather compensation controls (although this might just be a sales ploy)making it more reasonable albeit still very expensive. Does anyone have experience of a Winhager Variowin or Biowin? Is the 12kw variowin enough to heat up a 140 sqm detached three bedroom stone cottage? If we go for Biowin we have to let go of the automatic cleaning function. Is it worth going for Windhager when we can get a Wood Viking or CTC cheaper especially as when comparing the two, Solarfocus installers described the Winhager as chalk and cheese. Are they right? Finally other installers recommended a buffer tank but this one didn't. Will not having it reduce efficiency? Thanks to all.

Hi there, I too am looking into heat pumps and wood pellet boilers. Which one are you going for?
