Nothing to do with your lovely kittnes (my dogs would have them on toast!!) but I notice your MSE name belongs to your cat and my MSE name belonged to my beautiful hound! So when people thank Katie it's not actually my name!
Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

I don't have the problem of people thinking that Friday is my real name :). I suppose now I have 5, I could have called the others Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday :rotfl:Especially as Friday is the eldest of the 5!
  • they are both so cute but the colouring on Spot....wow!

I've realised that I didn't show any pictures of Spot showing his face with his eyes open, so here are a couple more pics :)

    Wow!

He's even more gorgeous than in the first photos.

Are you absolutely sure that I can't tempt you to swop him with my 11 year old arthritic, still semi-feral, cantankerous, bad tempered bruiser of a tom cat (who's just nipped my ankle because he thinks he's entitled to more food even though he had half a 400gm tin at 8am this morning)?

In that case, I am going to report any more of your posts showing photos of your cats on the grounds that they are extrememly distressing for cat owners like me who have to put up with 'ordinary' moggies. :rotfl:

Only joking, I love him dearly even when he he misbehaves - which is pretty much all the time.
We had him at 5 weeks old and within 18 hours he was clearly very ill indeed.
The Vet said it was cat flu & pneumonia and it was a toss-up whether he'd live or not.
We had to feed him by hand and give him water through a syringe and when he had trouble breathing we put wet towels on the radiators with Olbas Oil on to help him. The house stank for ages.

It took him over a week but the feisty little !!!!!! pulled through - and has been a nightmare ever since.

He's also survived being hit by a car.

It's so lovely to have very young kittens in the house, they are very entertaining and just seem to find everything a plaything.

We had similar problems with our Harry. He was hand reared by Cats Protection as he was rescued from a farm when he was 2 days old. We got him at 8 weeks and he had his vaccinations as required at 9 and 12 weeks. But when he was about 4 or 5 months old, he got a virus. It was very touch and go - at the vet at least once or twice a week for about 2 months, including emergency appointments. Happily he pulled through and now, at 7 years old, is the soppiest lump ever! Though he is very reliant on OH & me and hates anybdy else.
