    Hi Choc,

I am very impressed at you going to the gym when you have a dead busy day. The OH and I started using the exercise bike again at the weekend and were nearly crippled on Monday hehe. But I am going to make a point of doing some again today, discipline is the key to success with this!

And well done on the over payment.

    Jules x

Thanks Jules! I need to go to the gym as I am rubbish on the diet front...although aiming for a good day today! I just want to feel fitter, that's a big thing for me - I hate feeling sluggish and where I work from home 99% of the time I need to make sure I do something. Ok i'm not massive and do not need to lose a load of weight, prob just few lbs but I worry for down the line...3 more years sat at home not leaving the house and i'd be the size of one I reckon!!! Good on you with the bike, one of my fav machines at the gym. I have gym session then abs class after this evening...wish me luck

Can't believe Monday is here already. Bit of a funny weekend as plans didn't go as well as I would have hoped. Various reason but hey ho.

Have a really busy week and it's my bday Thurs so i'm not going to make any plans to stick to this week. Tis my week of whatever I wish and will start again come next week. Bascially = just don't have time to commit to anything this week due to work, meeting people and bday plans!

Have a good week all, Choc x

I've decided taking a break doesn't work for me, I so easily slip back into bad habits it's awful. That old saying (i think) give and inch and take a mile -that's me.

For example, I stopped a few exercise classes last week/wend due to bday commitments and in turn used that as an excuse to eat whatever I pleased and I mean excessive! I then felt so lethargic and awful about it I used that as an excuse to not exercise and eat well for another day yesterday and already the same again today and justifying it with "i'll start being good on Friday when I start my exercise classes again"....this is JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH....I should know better, I do know better and I can't beleive that I have ruined a good couple of weeks of exercise and diet in the space of a long weekend!?! Some may think i'm mad but I know myself too well and that given the chance i'll continue doing this until something or someone gives me a kick up backside.....I feel rubbish and to top it all I feel as though i've let myself down :(

The same goes for money too, this weekend i've acted as though i've never had a penny of debt in my life and I have nothing to show for it apart from fuel receipts, shop receipts and might I add nothing to show for any of it as it's all been junk i.e. mags, choc, takeaway....so on and so on....i'm quite disguested with myself and right now feel a totally different person than I did this time last week.

Right, enough of the self pity/annoyance at myself. Time to start taking action from now on.... rest of today =
    • eat sensibly and drink as much water as possible
    • no coffee (after the one I currently have on the go ;))
    • babysit for friends and take a book to read instead of watching trash tv or at least find something educational to watch!
    • do a food shop on way home from babysitting and stick to the list!
There not much but it's a start and means to move forward....tomorrow it'll be face up time to the money situ and how little i have left of it for the remainder of the month....car mot too on Thurs....I have a feeling it'll be a death cert rather than an mot cert this time around :(:(:(

Feeling much better and far more focused today after my telling off yesterday.

I've just been through paperwork and seems that I had written my figures down wrong so I could potentially be sub 30k once all my statements come through from October payments :D Can't tell you how amazing that feels, I may even try and cut back even more to make a larger overpayment that'll hopefully tip it under 30k for sure...very excited Choc :j

I've got to find some time to sit and have a really good chat about money with OH, assess our situation and see where we are at. We're doing so well but because both of us as so busy with one thing or another we just haven't found time to sit down and re-evaluate our situation. OH is also quite stressed at the moment with work so I am trying to support him as much as possible, not sure now is the right time to be looking at finances. He needs some time out, I shall wait.

So no list for me today, work, then hair cut and then evening catching up with friend and dropping car off for it's MOT....so not looking foward to that. I think I may have to go carless for a while which is not good but hey ho, I can't afford a new one and if the costs are over a certain amount then it's not really worth doing the work as she's not worth that much at all :(

Hope everyone is having a good day,

    Choc x

It's official I will be under 30k after all my new statements come in - i've worked it out :) I won't post total figure until I have the correct statemetns but if i've worked it out right I will be sub 30k which is a massive thing for me.

    To-do-list for today....
    • check online banking
    • work until 6pm and catch up
    • more paperwork sorting
    • eat sensibly
Nothing major today as I will be working the majority of the day and then hopefully relaxing with an early night later, not been in bed before midnight much this week and it's taking it's toll.

Am thinking of looking for a part-time job at weekend and perhaps evenings. I want to sort our financial situation sooner (my debts) and with the wedding comign up it's taking all our spare cash so we don't have to take any credit to pay for it. Hmm, just not sure if such a good idea as know it'll be busy come build up to wedding and already the next couple of months are busy. Will have a good thinka bout it and speak to OH.
