San Francisco hotel help please.

I am looking for a hotel in SF for four people between 13th and 16th october. At a maximum of about £150, been looking at Holiday inn at Fishermans wharf with friends and family offer, but would appreciate some other suggestions. thanks

Try the Columbus Motor Inn in North Beach. Excellent location and very friendly staff. Free parking, but who needs a car in San Fran.
  • Is that £150 per night, per person, for the entire trip???

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Fishermans Wharf last week, the advantage of this over the ordinary Holiday Inn is you get free breakfast, and it was good. The hotel was in an excellant location and the rooms were big enough for us to have 4 in the room.

Car parking can be very expensive in SF.

we stayed here and parked for free. rooms were fine and the area is safe enough . quick cable car ride to the Wharf ( which is huge fun itself )

Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:
  • Price is per night, not picking car up until the 16th so parking not a problem.

if this is for one room then look at Hotwire.

Blingman's suggestion is a good one...we actually booked the same HI you're looking at through Hotwire last September for only $76 + taxes/fees per night which is a bargain for SF. If I had a choice and they were similarly priced, I'd actually do as someone else has suggested and choose the HI Express round the corner, but the HI is fine if you can get a good rate.
  • Its for two adults two children, thinking of going down hotwire route but how do i know which is the HI fishermans wharf?

As well as hotels consider an apartment, usually way better value. Have done this several times in SF via https://www.vrbo.com.

HI @ Fishermans Wharf is fine albeit FW as an area is very tacky
