Tesco value nappies?

It's funny, I've been meaning to post about these. I first bought them to use as "Half hour nappies" for those times when I have to change my son, but know I'll be doing it again very soon. They're fine for that. Then due to my son not "Performing" when I thought he would, he wore them for a few hours a few times and they were fine. we're now using them all the time, but still having some pampers, I've not yet tried them overnight. Has anyone else?
They are plastic, but only on the outside! They have elastic on the legs, but not the waist, this doesn't seem to affect my son's comfort at all, and so far, they have not leaked...0 -
If you have an Aldi or Lidl near you its worth going just to stock up on nappies! both my DILs started off buying Pampers or Huggies - realised how much it was costing them and tried various other brands. Meanwhile I kept in my house a stock of Aldi nappies (occasionally Lidl), and after 'borrowing' packs of nappies from me when they ran out, asked me where I had had got them from! Both DILs then started buying ALL thier nappies from Aldi as they were so impressed with them! I havent bought any for a couple of years now so havent noticed the prices much - but I do remember they were huge packs for around £6? and werent the least bit plasticy. and the tabs didnt pull off or the nappies leaked!0

I second Aldi and Lidl nappies. They're absolutely brilliant. I hated Pampers and Huggies with a passion: they leaked like nothing else.
Also, if you have a Costco near you, their Kirkland Signature nappies are fab too.0 -

I've had the same experience. Pampers and Huggies didn't suit my eldest son, so he had Tesco nappies in the purple packet. I bought the same nappies for my second son but picked up a packet from Aldi just out of curiosity and they are just as good. They are £4.99 for 48, my son has a size 4/4+.0 -

Yeah Aldi's are Mamia. Can't remember the Lidl's own brand name though.
I found both Mamia and Lidl's own ones to be brilliant. I honestly couldn't fault them! Like I say, Huggies and Pampers were useless for me. Each to their own!0 -

I use these overnight (my DD, not me :rotfl:). For a young child, I always used pampers. However, DD is dry during the day so we just use these at nights. They do get very wet but contain it well. No idea of how they cope with poo.
Very plasticky feel - hoped DD would dislike them and want to ditch them. Problem is she drinks like a fish in the evenings. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

I don't think really there are any good or bad nappies, it's just a case of what suits the individual baby. Pampers were absolutely the worst for my daughter, yet up until very recently they were the only ones that didn't leak for my son. Now I find the cheapst of the cheap seem to suit him rather well!0
