If the boot was on the other foot how many of us would sell their property for less five years later, baring in mind the amount of money we will have spent on feathering the nest, at a guest not many. Property has always and will remain an investment for anyone wanting a foot on the property ladder, with interest rates at an all time low, and stocks and shares taking a dive, I don't see anyone cutting their throats by slashing the prices on their one remaining asset.
So offer a fair price and you too can take part this investment conundrum!!

But some vendors do really need to sell. As a buyer it makes sense to sniff out these people and low offers are a tool for doing that. Why pay for a boomers downsizing when you could pick up one of the 3 d's dirt cheap instead?0 -
It was what the EA valued it at.
And suppose it's been priced fairly to sell?
Assuming that you can just go and offer 'whatever' under and the vendor should be glad of that is just setting yourself up for a fall IMO.
Aside from new builds, every property on the market has it's own set of circumstances, there is no real across the board logic you can apply to buying and selling in the current climate.0 -
