I have won one fraudulent use of card claim already just by providing proof of postage to the paypal address, no tracking and no proof of delivery. So although I am aware of the risk I would still ship to an alternative address if the item was cheap enough not to worry me too much.

I only do if it's the address I'm told to by PayPal, if it's too much effort to enter a different address at checkout then it's too much effort for me to send to a different address!!!

You can treat your customers how you see fit. Any hint of that attitude would induce me to give you a hard time though.
I was in a hotel in London and lost my phone stylus. A local ebay seller was available and after an email dropped a set off reception for me. Even offered to refund my 99p postage, which I declined. He had no idea that I was a reasonably big seller of phones, but got all my business for spares from that time onward.
Pointing out paypal rules to a buyer for a trivial amount of money doesn't wash.

If its too much trouble to give customer service on low value items it will be too much trouble for your buyer to return or recomend yiu to friends.
