BritishGas representatives - Boiler Service
Are there any British Gas representatives on this site?
The reason I ask is that i've taken out the HomeCare cover for 3 years now and not even once have they come and serviced my boiler...
They have taken the £20 odd quid per month on time... but could they be bothered to come out and service the boiler... no!!!
Nor have I once needed them to fix anything with my boiler... so in essence im just throwing my money away...
I read that they must service the boiler every year... something to do with the contract or something? is this true?
Can someone help me sort this out please

All you need to do is ring them up, or go on line to book your annual service. That gum you like is coming back in style.0

i know if your service goes overdue..... the system will send 3 letters out asking the customer to make contact.....
i simply can not believe you have not recieved one of these letters in 3 years.....
It is also your responsibilty to contact and book your annual service as well...Promo codes are never always cheaper..... isnt that right EuropCar?0 -

You will need your Homecare agreement to hand.0 -

it will only allow me to book an engineer out to fix a fault... but i dont have a fault!!0 -
Thats odd, it should appear just about where it says book an engineer visit.
In fact I just booked my annual service they are coming at the end of September, and I got 200 nectar points.
Suggest you send them an e-mail.That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -

If you have half a chance, make sure you are there so you can actually witness what you get for your £250+ a year. Many a time I have heard from ex-BG customers that the "service" included little more than just looking at the boiler and sticking a probe in the flue.
It may also be a good idea to write to them ( NOT call ) and get written confirmation that they can still get all the parts for your boiler, and are 100% capable and willing to carry out repairs on it. Would be a bit of a bummer to find out they "can't " repair your boiler because of a, b or c, AFTER you have paid out a thousand quid in insurance premium. If they forget to service your boiler, they may forget to tell you that you are paying your premium for nothing.0 -
