Its that time of the year.....
They are fast, furious and sneaky...
They can appear from nowhere and able to hide anywhere...
Not only that but they are ugly & horrible!
They are............. spiders

(sorry... this picture isn't actually mine because I couldn't get the camera to work... but looks pretty much the same)
:eek::eek::eek:
HEEEELP!!!
I have a really intense fear of spiders and just found like the billionth one this week in the bathroom! Luckily (very luckily) my aim wasn't significantly affected!
My partner is at work (should be home within the next half hour though) and when I see them my balls tend to roll back up into my body and don't reappear for several days!!!:o
But unless I can kill it or get it out the house I won't feel comfortable going to bed tonight!
But if I don't do something it will move somewhere else leaving me with an even bigger worry and bigger problem. Where is it? Has it crawled in my jacket, or shoe, or clothing? Whats that in the corner of my eye? **jumps out of his seat**, what if its behind the sofa? or here, there, where...?
Okay okay... I know they're pretty much harmless and scared more of us than them and would agree fear of spiders is somewhat irrational..... but I'M FLIPPING TERRIFIED AND CAN'T HELP IT!!!!!
WHAT CAN I DO TO KEEP THEM AWAY!!!???????? HEEEEEEEEELP MEEEEEE????!!!.............

I don't know what to do to keep them away, but I have the same problem. We moved into this house last summer and i've never seen so many of these terrifying creatures. I find having something heavy to hand helps.2011 Wins : Models own makeup product, Photoplusx4 software:j Mens hair dye :rotfl:0

The problem is everytime I get close enough to kill it with the object I end up running away screaming like a little girl.:)
Anymore suggestions..........0 -
I was always terrified of spiders and I found the solution...get married and watch your wife's reaction, and then realise that there isn't room for two hysterical scaredy cats in a household, and she never discovered my secret.
The secret is to stamp the floor (no, not on the spider) and they run away, and it doesn't leave an unsightly mess to clear up.Never ever give your card details to anyone over the phone, and check the reputation of any company you do intend to give them to.0 -

Thanks for the pic OP, I'm going to have nightmares now!
I find the hoover does the job. Or a good hefty book. :rotfl:
Altough, if you don't want to kill them, Lakeland does a spider-catcher http://www.lakeland.co.uk/20455/Spider-Catcher0 -
We've hunderds of them, from little red ones that bite you, so black things with a body an inch across, and legs about an inch either side of that.
I jut put them outside if catch them. The wife Dysons them, and they turn ito little black balls spinning round and round.0 -
I bought a little tennis racquet looking thing in Poundland last week, however instead of string, it's strung with metal, and shocks little beasties. Very handy!0

Your very welcome -- did you sleep okay
UPDATE:
Well my partner arrived home and squashed it with a towel. Its dead body now crumpled on the floor still
(hope there isn't any spiders rights activists out there)

I goddamn hate spiders! I'm off to Kuredu, Maldives in a few weeks for my honeymoon and there are lots of huntsman spiders out there apparently!0

Best remedy I've found is lemongrass oil. Put a little by all the entry points to the house, put some in the water when you're washing the floor, rub a little into the bottom of your curtains and so on - should keep the little blighters away as they cant stand the smell!! Good luck!0

Yah, it's coming to the time of year when the spiders come out to mate. The spiders you're probably referring to are housespiders who live under floorboards etc.. and you don't normally see them, unless the come out to mate. I don't know how to stop them coming in, just yell for hubby to come and catch and release in the garden.
They are a bit freaky but won't hurt you at all.
My cat normally gets one or two... eeeeek yuck0
