Blackberry 3G SMOKY VIOLET
Options
My daughter has asked (nicely) for a Blackberry 3G phone in the new violet trim.
I can only find it on t mobile.
She is already on tmobile sim only deal which we bagged Nov 2010 for just £7.50pm.
I have a cheap £4 phone which suits my purposes so have no idea what my options are, cheapest, best route to go to get this phone & would appreciate any help for those more knowledgable.
I will check but think the sim was a 12mth deal so due to lapse soon anyway.
Kind regards.

I think only T-mobile sell the Violet exclusively.
If you really want to pay through the nose for the colour then your only option is some cashback through quidco/TCB. However, you'll get the free internet and free 6x100 minutes for 6 months.
Normal BB 9300 is available for £110+topup on PAYG from Virgin (out of stock ATM).
I'd expect unlocking to cost not more than £15.0 -
If you get a PAYG Blackberry (even if it is financially attractive) some of the features of the Blackberry require an extra service from the network so your current £7.50 a month deal may not let the Blackberry work fully.
Also there may be some operator branding or features which don't work if the PAYG phone is used on a different network.
If it has to be a Blackberry your choice is made, otherwise there are a number of other phones with "typewriter style" keyboards0
