Can I sell a T mobile internet dongle?

I bought a t mobile internet dongle last year (USB stick 120) when I was stuck without internet for a while, and have no need for it now - can I sell it? I have no idea if I registered my name or address or whatever as cannot seem to log in anymore, is there any risk of identity theft or whatever? Or will the buyer just set up their own account using the same dongle? Or should I just sell the dongle and take out the sim? Thanks

Hello DazzaMc
I'll move your thread to the 'Internet Access' board...............and if that's not the best place (wasn't sure if Mobile Phones would suit), the board guides will move it for you.;)
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.

With Three, you don't need to log into your online account - it logs you in automatically. It's tied to the SIM card
With that in mind, if T-Mobile is similar, then you could sell the dongle but remove the SIM to prevent that.0 -
There is a thread on this board with unlocking instructions for this modem. Here
Then you can use it on any UK network or worldwide, in conjunction with a local SIM.
In addition, it will increase the resale value if you decide to sell it.
The generic part number is ZTE MF626.
There are two versions of firmware within that thread, Globe and Telstra M02. If you go for the Telstra option, you will also be able to find their Windows 7 compatible M03 drivers and/or connection manager online using Google.0 -

Thanks, I didn't understand the last bit though0 -
Throughout the thread or at least on the first and second to last pages, there are links to new software for your modem. Download and open them all. Once you open them it will either state Globe firmware inside or 3G Turbo indicating Telstra firmware.
Both will work. But perhaps Telstra has more upgrade options for use with the latest machines.0
