Has anyone else been charged for this by their car insurers ???:mad::mad:

Yes Esure charged me exactly the same when I changed my car last month. Am I raging? No - I had read this and knew what to expect.

As it was i only had to pay £16 as my new car had a smaller premium than the old one so I was due a refund too.

What you could or should have done is find out how much it would cost(or check the documents) for a pvt plate before you went ahead with it and then you could have decided to go ahead with it or not bother. Only got yourself to blame but definitely not a rip off.

I dont think £26 is too bad though.
