There's nothing more unprofessional than a business not even having their own domain name -- especially when the cost is so low!

Their website has no email address, telephone number.
Their address is on the FAQ page instead of contact us page.
Their returns policy is nonsense "minus a small £2.95 admin and handling fee"

    Doesn't look great!

The only problem with your case is if they deny telling you what they did.

Hopefully they will come back and offer a refund.

I called the first number again (as the tech guy said someone would call me today) and surprise surprise, no answer.

Left another message asking them to contact me before I take this further (I'm not sure what further is in this case but it sounded good). Bloody raging at my own stupidity here really!

Unfortunately most people that threaten to "take things further" don't know what further is and companies know this.

The problem here also is they will likely have some statistic on the box 'works on 98% of people tested on' which is in effect a disclaimer 'this product may be crap and we will not take responsibility'.
Also the fact its your word against theirs that you was missold the product. (Personally I believe you, salesmen will say anything!!)

You may be best keeping it nice for now. Then if necessary at a later date start pushing for a little more.

Got a call from a girl in Glasgow who said if I send it back she'll get a cheque in the post. Not sure why cheque but I'll take it. Luckily the office is close to mine so I can avoid postage charges.

The instructions no where state 24 applications and how much you put on isn't stated either. You get 4 syringes of the gel and the only thing it says in the instructions is the recommended period is twice per day for up to 7 days - helpful, eh?

It is illegal to supply crest whitening strips in the uk, eu, NZ and Australia. Which had campaigned for eBay and amazon to stop advertising these products last year. Unfortunately e bay have said it is difficult to police.

As it is illegal to supply these products here you have no guarantee they are what they say they are, are not counterfeit or toxic. Do you really want to trust complete strangers supplying an illegal product to put on some of the most delicate parts if the body.
