AFAIK for the majority of PAYG sim-cards the min topup is £10. It's £5 for Orange Monkey.
After a second thought about a contract sim I think you can protect it by a PIN from unauthorised use. Don't know how this will work in the tracker though as a phone asks to enter the PIN every time you switch it on.0 -

Stick with the simplest solution - PAYG ! You need this thing to work if you are using it and don't want to risk it failing because of sim lock problems.
Any sim will do - suggest Voda or O2 because of superior reception.0 -
