  • Good morning. I'm suffering from "slow-start" this morning as I've got a streaming cold. Typical, on a week off too!! I've had a hot bath and still sat here in my robe two hours later. Must get on.....

    So far:
    • DW ran overnight on Economy 7
    • fed and watered the chickens and asked for 4 eggs today
    • made packed lunch for DH
    • checked banking - customer paid £200 deposit for next corset :j:j:j
    • checked for surveys
    I will also:
    • phone WTC people to tell them DH is now working - I'll lose benefit but the overpayment shouldn't be too huge I hope :(
    • re-organise some cupboards to accomodate bulk grocery shopping done by DH last night
    • check for surveys throughout the day
    • get into the sewing room and actually do some work
    • visit a customer this afternoon with a mock-up to try on
    • have lunch & dinner from stores - bacon plait I think :)
    • have an NSD
I have a feeling I could spend the rest of the day on here messing around, so I'd better go before I get too involved in following other threads.

    Catch up later, stitchy x

I'm going to take back something that I bought that is useless - a mouse mat that doesn't 'stick' to the desk so my mouse still keeps flying round everywhere - £6 refund :T

Bought a cheap can of soup for lunch too

    Hello all!
Had a busy morning - been to school and did an hours work before the dreaded results came out for the skiddiwinks - lots of tears - good and bad - and hugs all around. Bless them.
Then took the dog for another long walk from the walkit.com website - along the canal and round some parts that I'd never walked around - looking at the big posh houses - couldn't be doing with cleaning one of those! (Every cloud....):p Then we stopped off at the pet shop - its the dog's birthday and its tradition that he picks his own present (a bone or something similar) - I know I'm bonkers:o. Spent £7 in total on dog food and a new collar.

    Still to do today...
    • More school work - biology today I think
    • Hoover and dust downstairs did whole house whilst on a roll
    • All food from stores - pasta tonight I think done so far
    • Walk dog again
    • Look up where the restaurant/cafe I'm meeting a friend at tomorrow lunchtime is done
    • Check banks done
    • Finish shopping list for weekend and meal plan for next week doing next
    • Get stuff ready for exOH to pick up done, been up the attic by using a small step ladder and a bin to stand on, not very safe but done now!
That's it for today - going to have a sit down for a bit first!

Good afternoon! Just catching up in my lunch hour!

Didn't manage to post yesterday as really busy but I had a low spend day yesterday, only spent 60p!:j
Found out too that the bank let the DD do through on Monday because I put cash in from another account at lunchtime! Definitly an incentive to do the online banking thing every morning!

    Today I have/will:
    • Checked online banking
    • Made sandwiches for lunch instead of stopping in a yummy (but oh so expensive!) sandwich shop
    • Checked the cupboards - pasta and tuna for tea tonight
    • Decided to move to sky TV - might sound a bit strange but we are paying a small fortune for BT Vision and the reception is not good where we are. So will pay a smaller amount for sky instead and save money.
    • Took pool car out to site instead of my own. Although I can claim diesal back at the end of the month it sometimes leaves me a bit short
    • Having (so far) a no spend day !!
Hope the rain stays off - my parents have taken my kids to the Zoo today!

    Hello everyone,

DNMS - Good to see you back everyday again! Your positive attitude at the start really helps me. I like the idea of you "diving to London" hehe, don't mind me I'm in a silly mood today!
La Escocesa - I second that statement about it being nearly payday etc! I wish I had £182 pocket money as well, (you can totally do that by the way!!) I've set myself a budget of £100 a month & it's sooooo annoying trying to stick to that. Bring on the DF days where I can treat myself a little more! At least next month I'll allow myself some more as we will be on holiday, yay!
Rock_Cakes - Thanks for the link I will give that a looky in a min
Stitchy - Hope you feel better soon, & wow what a deposit! What kind of corset is it?
Welshwoofer - If you're bonkers then I am too...would love to take my bunny to pick her present but you can't really take her to the pet shop lol, so she will have to make do with my choice! Happy birthday to your pooch :)

    Today I have/will:-

Thanks, I feel much better than yesterday and actually got some sewing done today.

The deposit was for a whole Halloween outfit - a black satin corset covered in handmade orange/black fabric flowers , a matching black satin puffball skirt and a black satin detachable train. The flowers are being made by the customer to cut costs (but I still have to sew them onto the corset)! Luckily she's given me plenty of notice as some people decide a week beforehand that they need a fancy dress costume made

    Hi all

Not done too badly today, not spent a penny and all money allocated for. Got 7 hours work on Saturday which should give me a bit of a help this month - got to service and MOT the car, and used up my car maintenance fund last month on brakes. Oh well!

NSD so far, have £20 in my purse so going to see how long I can eke that out for, grand total of £176 'pocket money' for the month, have nothing bar one night out planned so should be more than ample!

Anyhoo, hope you've all had a great day! Stitchy - that Halloween costume sounds fab!

    Hello :j

Thanks for starting the thread DNMS, you are always SO positive :j

    Today:
    Washing on line to dry
Took own lunch to work (leftovers, but colleagues are often actually quite jealous of my leftovers :D)
Free paper on train to work, 'proper' news online ;)
    Dinner from stores
    2 eggs from (2) chooks :D
Survey for Sainsburys, 25 Nectar points :D
Yay, it is Friday tomorrow and I am off on leave for the next week :j:j:j:j:j :beer::beer: :T:T:T:T:T:T

Trouble is, I have to go to London for a meeting tomorrow, and then back in the office to finish loads of things off, so goodness knows what time I will actually get home
  • I made a random curry out of things that needed eating up (rice, quorn pieces, mushrooms, courgette etc!) tasted nice :) also walked to and from town earlier to save on bus fare (even though I get 35% off with my card :P )
