Anybody having trouble entering this hour? I'm really fed up, I've just sat here burning braincells coming up with limericks and stuff and everything seems to be out of stock

Well done sassy! Good on you. :A Please forward the email on to Tesco - lets get the chicken house for m. She's such a sweet pea, she didn't deserve to be treated in such a way!

    Alf xxxx

Wonder who the fake kenn is then??

The problem is Tesco withdrew the prize because the poem wasn't original, not because they received a complaint from the author so I can't see them honoring the win.

I'll keep entering my chicken attempt to see if I can win it for her!

Maybe Kenn might want to take action against the fraudster who is stealing his identity and tarnishing his reputation!

    :T :T :T

That is up to him but I think he is probably above that.

Everyone should press spam on KN posts. ;)

And perhaps everyone could leave a comment on the Tesco wall?
Thanks to all OP's your efforts are much appreciated :A

I've followed this all the way through & I think a big deal was made out of something very trivial & the fact that it was such a selfless prize really bothered me. People were very quick to jump on this poor lady but she was very honest & very apologetic.

Anyway, aside that, I think the fraudulent Kenn should be reported on here for abuse. You never know, it could be a repeat offender on here, I know they can trace people via IP address & there are a few users on here that re-occuringly cause trouble.

Hope you are all lucky with your wins & really hope micbou gets a fab house for her chickens!!

    xx

Poor micbou - cant believe that Kenn is still having a moan about her win - Especially if the real Kenn is fine about it.

Its not like any human will be making use of the hen house - its for the chickens and would any mse member begrudge poorly treated chickens/hens ending the rest of their years in comfort. I certainly dont and if Tesco dont allow micbou her prize then they should be ashamed of themselves.

I have to agree with this.

I'm in the minority, but i think Tesco was fair to do what they did.

I think the issue is more so that the poem wasn't completely original. It also didn't help that M said she spent 3 hours on it, thus implying that she came up with it herself. Whilst people keep on saying that the same thing was done with song lyrics, there really is a difference imo.

If Tesco backtrack, it will just open the floodgates to people thinking it's ok to copy from poems that aren't all that well known, and everyone will be up in arms... again.

Maybe Tesco will be nice enough to give Micbou a prize out of goodwill! Whoever is pretending to be Kenn is rather sad and should be ashamed of themselves.

It would be interesting if Tesco published all of the entries after the closing date so we could see what people entered.

Could make for some fun reading - maybe a peoples choice award!

Micbou, Please dont leave this forum - It was very good of you to contact Tesco about the situation and I think they should honor the prize to you, just for your honesty.

Cant believe that some one could begrudge these dear litle birds a home.
