I really wish people would read all a 'conversation' before taking a quote out of context on here!
anyway.. what a day.. we have to wait until tuesday for the replacement winner to be announced according to FB0 -
I think this should all be laid to rest now, micbou. Some people have been unduly harsh on you.
As a student nurse, I understand how easy it is to inadvetantly plagiarize work. OK so you used someone else's words, but it's hardly the crime of the century!
Good Luck to you in the future. Carry on comping. xTracey

Just to try & put this whole thing to rest (if that's possible?) before I head off to work for the night.
I have spoken with Tesco today & we have agreed that the prize for that hour will go to someone else.
I know what I did was wrong, although I can honestly say at the time it was not done maliciously.
I wonder how many times all of you have 'copied & pasted' words from the internet without a second thought to
whether those words are the property of some else? Anyway.. thats beside the point.
Well done to the winners, there is only so many times someone can apologise, so I will bow out of the forum now, I wish you all many
years of lucky comping.
Thank you for your honesty. I have been following this thread and I too have tried my best to win. Needless to say I have been on headache pills for the duration!!:rotfl:Well done to everyone for your lovely efforts.
I have to say, that I have been comping for 40 years, many of those years involved tiebreakers. I was lucky enough to win quite a few times but other peeps also won using my tiebreakers. Was I bothered .... NO!! And I certainly did not use copyright!!! Cos lifes too dam short!!! Isn't it!!! It's meant to be fun, that's all and I certainly did not begrudge those winners!! Well done to all the winners thus far in this comp.
You come across as a lovely person and I do wish you well with your wee chickens. I do hope you have luck again in getting them a cosy home. You did your best and please take no notice of 'certain' previous comments. Please don't feel badly. And please, there is no need to leave the forum. Keep in touch and I wish you well. With best wishes:

Hi,
Yes I entered a different, poem, limerick or mini essay each time. I was rotating between 4 different items that we need, one of them was a bed frame. It was getting really difficult to come up with new ones to be honest, and I think the best thing about winning (aside from having somewhere to put our books!) is not having to think of any more things to write
I wish you all good luck with the remaining days of the comp.0 -

lets all be grown ups nowIve won:
2001-lawnmower from freebie mag in sunday newspaper
feb 2011-gorjuss kit from crossstitcher mag0 -
I was just thinking (it hurts!) do you think it's not just the actual rhyme they consider but also the item that is chosen? Just seems that everything won is totally different to each of the previous prizes won. I would expect a large percentage of the entrants are possibly going for electrical items, but there doesn't seem to have been many won... Just an observation:starmod:Thank you comp posters!:starmod:0
