Cheapest prices for flight to Bangkok

Hi Everyone,

Looking for advice!

Anyone got a recommendation on where to look for the cheapest flight prices to Bangkok please?

Have looked at the usual suspects but they seem very high.

I know I am looking to go at a very expensive time of year but still live in hope of a bargain!

Hoping to fly mid December and return early January from a northern or midlands airport if possible - any advice?

Thanks in advance

Qatar airways can be competitive, they fly from MAN via Doha to BKK, they can sell flights with short connection times at Doha, so worth double checking this. They also fly to Phuket from Doha.
Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.
  • From Midlands BHX I go with Emirates every year, just booked for Sept £585 ret May.
There are cheaper from London airports such as by Eva Air or Jet but you have to put the cost of travelling to those airports against the savings. They will always charge more getting near dates to Xmas- because they know it will be busy. Book ahead far as poss!

I would also recommend Emirates and Qatar. There may be slightly cheaper options elsewhere but both of these are excellent airlines, much cheaper than flying direct from London and it's nice to be able to stretch your legs for a couple of hours at the half way mark.

If you really want to fly direct from London, EVA are usually the cheapest option.

If you are looking for Dec/Jan then this is peak time for Thailand and most of the cheap flights will have already gone so you'll have to act quickly. Flights to BKK over Christmas can be 50% more expensive than in September/October which is when I usually go.

Have a great time in Thailand. The flights may sound expensive but you can live for very little when you get there. Just don't spend too long in Bangkok - 3 days is enough for anyone's sanity.

Check out net flights or trailfinders but as others have said the lowest fares for Christmas departures are long gone, best I can see today flying out 15 Dec back 5 January on Emirates from Manchester is £868 and after that prices go well above £1000. Realistically that means the flights are getting full, if you wait you will have to pay more

Yes, around £850 is as good as you are going to get now unless you can find some circuitous route. As the European summer ends (what summer?) everyone's thinking about booking some winter sunshine. The OP shouldn't delay, bite the bullet and get the flights booked this weekend then try to remember to book it earlier next time.

  • You are flying mid december, peak season they are going to be expensive, book asap!!

Alternativeley, the cut off date for peak tickets is usually around the 9th - 11th Dec, depending on the airline, maybe try a little earlier.

This is a price calendar from Kayak

So, flying mid-December is the peak of the peak and you are looking at £900 or more. The first week in December of Christmas week aren't quite so bad.

In comparison, March is a fairly cheap month

Also, bear in mind that accommodation will be more expensive over the Christmas/New Year period.

    Thanks for the advice everyone.

I looked at Emirates airline as suggested and found a reasonably priced flight the second week of December. I was also able to incorporate a stop over in Dubai which I hadn't thought about as well.

Any recommendation for hotels in Dubai now please?!?
