Somebody applying for loan and using my mob no.
Hi everybody,
looking for some advice so hopefully you can help. Hve received phone call and text message from a loan company from somebody that is using my number. The loan company has advised me the password and loan details etc. When the loan co. phones i advise them clearly that i am not the person they are looking for and tell them them that this person does not reside at my address and never has.
Is there any further action i can take. From what i can piece together the person asking for the loan is both using a false address and phone number altough not using my name.
Thanks in advance.

You don't know the real number of the person who wants the loan, you don't know their address and you can bet their name may be false as well - if you were told it.
Not much to go on, is there?0 -

Your already assigning malice or fraud for what could be a simple error, mis-remembering a number, a 1 read as a 7, a 0 or a 6 badly written, or someone keying it in to a computer wrongly.
Simply tell them they have the wrong number, thats all. After a few times they'll put a flag on the computer so whenever the person calls they'll ask for the right number.0
