payment received email for something I never bought - Dodgy?

Just had an email come through from 'paypal' thanking me for my 45.99 payment for 3 mths skype subscription.
Never used skype and have no idea what this payment is for?
Is it ok for me to log into paypal to check if this is real or whats going on?

Its fine to log in to paypal from your browser, don't click any links within the email. I would say everyone gets one of these emails at some point and they generally are just phising emails trying to get your login details. Its always worth double checking your paypal account though just to make sure.Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0

I had the same a few weeks ago, it's a scam email, don't click on the links and just forward it to [EMAIL="spoof@paypal.com"]spoof@paypal.com[/EMAIL] for Paypal to deal with0

I get this all the time too, to an email address that isnt linked to my Paypal account. Its a scam!Pay off all my debts before Christmas 2015 #165.0
