Sky+ recording "Failed"

In the past couple of weeks everying I have attempted to record using Sky+ has just left me the message "Failed" in the menu. There is plenty of recording space still available and the previous successfully recorded programmes can still be viewed.
The Sky+ box is about 7 months old. Do I need a repairer?

This has happened to me too with no obvious reasons so I'll be interested to hear any opinions.Don't wait for your ship to come in, swim out to it.0

On the failed recordings it says "Technical Fault - 10"0

Could be anything, was the box switched off, or maybe an electrical storm when the recording was due.
I'd check the signal strength and quality readings to make sure both LNBs are functioning properly. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -

I followed the instructions on the Sky website for Planner rebuild and it seems to have solved my problem

Its worth a try to see if it works for you.0 -
Sounds like the start of a PSU failure, especially if it's a Thompson box0

It happened to us just recently.
We switched the box off, waited five minutes and then switched back on again.
So far, everything 'seems' to be working fine now.0
