I put a complaint in with HSBC on behalf of my brother just after the court ruling. Satisfied that they had their deadline of 31st August and havent really hassled them. However, on the handful of times my brother has contacted them, they have confirmed they are going to be paying out on his loan and that "you should hear by the end of the week", this has now been the case for 4 weeks!

It is rather amusing listening to the spiel and then my brother second guessing with the final line "so I shall hear by the end of the week"?
I havent been able to read everything on here about the extensions, but shall we assume HSBC have secured a further extension?0 -
My case was interesting, I put in my complaint, then they hit the 16 week deadline and I had heard nothing so I started jumping up and down via email to the CEO and calling customer services daily. About a week later I got a breakdown and an acceptance form to sign, a week after that money was in my account (this was all done by the end of July)..............now heres the interesing bit, I got another letter saying it had been accepted about a week ago for the same loan but it was dated August, it says they will send me a breakdown in 4 weeks time. I wonder if they will realise their error or actually sort out my breakdown again..gotta love the banksDebt Free...yay! 10/09/2013 :j

Not wanting to dampen any spirits as i feel your pain. Two years ago my initial complaint went in. It's now been upheld and am waiting on an offer. No surprises that you're all in the same boat though.0
