Boots are being really mean though and will only let you have a maximum of one Star Wars calender per customer!

Mean in what sense? If they let you have unlimited, then there would be none left. People would buy 100s in the 3for2 and sell them on ebay. That is why they went out of stock in the first place - you could buy multiples when the 3for2 went live.

You could never by multiples of the advent calendars. Every year there's always a handful of the most popular toys which you are only able to buy 1 of.

But if your local Argos has them in stock they will let you buy 3 advent calendars.

Today is the last day of their 3 for 2 on toys so get in there quick!

I was surprised to find This Lego Car & Caravan (4435) for £7 in Asda (Sheffield Parkway). There was a proper shelf label showing the reduced price, so it should be available at other Asda's (it's £14 at Asda online).

The Sheffield store also had series 6 minifigures for £1.40 each.

On the first day of the 3f2 sale you could buy more than one calendar. I know as I bought 6 SW calendars in one order.

snap I'm waiting to buy the mine set, was oos in all my local argos when it was 342. As the radibun said its £55 at Smyths, but I'm gutted I didnt spot that when Smyths had a 20% off weekend a couple of weeks ago. I'm hoping that Smyths may have another discount weekend or £5 off code/voucher , before the price goes back up.

I'm so glad it was of use to you, we managed to use it twice once in my name and one in my husband's. We've paid off and closed the accounts now so going to leave it a bit and try again. Code is valid until end of year.
I know what you mean about spending...I went mad at Argos but got some great bargains.
