Aygo round town Seat on the long journey.

Whilst Toyota are incredibly reliable I would have thought the wear and tear would be a lot more doing the longer journey.

It is the total cost of ownership not just the fuel.

    Thanks all.

Actually I think it's a bit further than 2 miles but as a primary school teacher with boxes, bags etc. and leaving the house at 7.15am returning at 5pm at both times it is often dark. I work in a rough part of town too. Running the car is the only option, just a matter of which one. Also use the car for shopping and other girly pastimes like picking up the kisd from after school club, friends' houses, ballet etc.

Not sure what to do yet. Hubby really not worried about Aygo driving, I would prefer the Aygo though as hopeless at parking the 7 seater ... :)
first of all, no-one has to justify their car useage to anyone, i drive about 3 miles each way to work, mainly because the time i finish there is one bus every half hour, if i am one second late out the door the bus has gone, and my job isnt one where you can watch the clock and leave in time for the bus.

once i have got the wedding payment sorted i am looking for a new car, something to replace a 1.2 stilo i have owned for 7 years
Who remembers when X Factor was just Roman suncream?

I would let your husband take the Seat while you use the Aygo but maybe swap for a day occasionally so that the Aygo gets the occasional good run!
