Spending Money??

Hi All

I am travelling to Alcudia next week with my hubby and 2 kids (6 and 9). We are staying self catering and i'm not sure how much spending money to take. I was working on about 200€ a day, does this sound about enough???

It may be tight, with meals and entertainment, I would have some emergency money to take as I think 200 euros a day for 3 meals x 4 plus everything else is not going to last the whole day and night.

I would say try at least and budget another 100 euros if poss

I just came back from sa coma (majorca) a week ago and it cost me 16 euros for 2 cheese toasties a beer and a bottle of water. From what I remember alcudia is also quite an expensive area (something like 5 euros for a tea and a coffee when we did a day visit 3 years ago) If your going to buy all your drinks in big bottles from the supermarket and make all your own lunches then its doable but id take a bit extra to be safe (if your kids are anything like mine they'll want drinks every 20 seconds!)
If your looking to help keep costs down you can always take things like cereal, crisps, biscuits and a litre bottle of water for teeth brushing with you

Many Thanks for your replies. The hotel we are staying in has an "all inclusive drinks" options whcih will be around 200€ a week which sounds like it may be worth doing....i think i am going to take 1600€ and my debit card just in case i need it xxx

we went all inclusive (only know the price of food because we arrived at 11pm so no food!) and have to say I would never go any other way now, we drank in soft drinks a good 60 -70 euros each a week in drinks add in the food and it was a darn sight cheaper. Its taken my husband 14 years to get me away from self catering, we had quite a few who were self catering at our hotel and a few upgraded while there

i can't wait, its the first time the boys have been abroad so i don't want to skimp. We were going to go AI but it was so expensive and we managed to get this holiday for £800 so we could afford it Now thinking back i may have cut my nose off to spite my face as i probably could have got an AI for what this is costing....2020 hindsight is a wonderful thing lol xxx

We are going to Sol de Alcudia which got some dodgy reviews but the latest ones look ok (thank goodness)
