I need a new broadband supplier! Help!

Hiya

I have been with Madasafish now for a year and I can't wait to change, they are incredibly poor leaving me unable to connect to the internet 95% of the time. I am looking for a wireless connection this time as cheap as possible but one that works please, any tips?:D

I use Virgin, which i use for PC and laptop. £17.99 per month 6gb dl cap.
I took this deal as it was a "no contract" offer and was only planning to use it for a few months. I've now been with them for over 2 years as i'vehad no problems, always good service and they keep upgrading my speed...

  • Hi Bexbox,

I realise from your post that you wish to leave us - however if you would like for me to help you troubleshoot your connection I'd be more than happy to help. You certainly should not be in the position where you cannot connect over 95% of the time and I would be grateful for the opportunity to help correct this. Connection faults (line faults, problem with the hardware/software set up) can be carried over to your future provider if they're not corrected.

If you're interested, please do PM me your Madasafish username.

    Kind regards,
    Samara

Hi Bexbox, check out a thread further down this page entitled 'what's the cheapest internet dial-up provider' and read my post there. In it I explain how while waiting to decide between bb providers I got 3 months completely free (1p, actually!) unlimited internet dial-up with BT and AOL with no contract or commitment. It could provide you with short-term breathing space while you decide which one to go with. I've never had a problem connecting or losing my connection mid-surf and they both work at a speed more than adequate for standard surfing. Just an idea. Good luck.

If you want reliable, staffed with real people in the UK, as opposed to cheapest then Zen Internet are hard to beat.
    Where now?

Would have to advise against Virgin. Have been a subscriber for several years but the speeds are so slow. During the day I might achieve 2.8mb (on a good day) but in the evenings the speeds are around 0.5 mb. Speed is supposed to reach up to 8mb.

Am looking to change ISP so also interested in users' comments.

However they have recently upset many customers by substantially increasing their prices!
