Homeserve

Hi,
I wonder if anyone could help me. My father in law passed away recently and in sorting his affairs we have found that homeserve has sold him policies covering just about everything in the house. The problem we have is that a lot of the policies cover each other and as such we think they have been missold.
He also has cover for everything that he is paying extra for through his home insurance anyway.
The question is does anyone have any experience of this and claiming the money back or is it just something we need to write off.
Thanks

Just make sure all his direct debits are cancelled. Probably wise to tell Homeserve too, if you've not already done so, but don't rely on them to cancel direct debits. Not sure of the chances of claiming anything back unless you have specific evidence of misselling. (although I agree he was probably the victim of pushy sales tactics - difficult to prove, and they know it).0

You have no prove this was missold...... you dont know what it covers, and you dont know if you father in law ever claimed successfully.
Home Insurance does not provide the same cover as companies such as home serve.
all you can do is cancel.Promo codes are never always cheaper..... isnt that right EuropCar?0 -
Hes never made a claim but has claimed on his home insurance which he has a cover plus, domestic emergency cover etc.
He was not only covered under that but also he has multiple covers from homeserve covering different levels of things but the top cover covering everything in the other covers.
I'm going to pursue this as much as I can!0 -
