Vodafone unlimited texts

Hey all,
I have a pay monthly contract with Vodafone and I thought I had unlimited texts with my contract. I went onto the Upgrade page on My Account and according to that my contract has 3000 texts. I'm a bit confused over this, so would appreciate some help. Do I have unlimited texts or not? I'm not a 'textaholic', and probably won't go over the limit, however I'm paying for unlimited and that's what I expect to get.
I feel a little bit misled over this, and while I appreciate it's only a minor query, I don't like finding out that I'm not paying for what I thought.
If someone could clear this up for me, that'd be great.
Thank you

Vodafone, Whats unlimited.
Many mobile companies have their own understanding of the word "unlimited" that for some reason differs from the meaning of this word in common English. Unfortunately, our regulators, like ASA, are far too spineless to teach them a lesson of correct English.0 -
Oh dear, they really should make that clearer. They don't exactly make the VAT charges very clear either. I'm just glad I'm so unpopular :rotfl: Getting a bit fed up with Vodafone and my phone, but still a year away from the end. Ah well.
Thanks for the help!0 -
All prices for non-business customers must be quoted with VAT included.0

Vodafone had a brief spell where they got rid of unlimited texts and introduced 3000 texts (which is 100 texts a day - a huge amount!) - several months back they re-introduced unlimited texts and there is no Fair Use Policy on these.
I don't see how anyone could send more than 100 texts a day?!?!?I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0 -

Hi kajstring24,
As grumbler has mentioned, the 3000 text limit refers to a fair usage policy. We have now changed this on our new price plans to include unlimited texts with no fair usage. We can change you onto a new plan if you would prefer. Drop me an email to the address here with WRT135 FAO Heidi in the subject and I can discuss the options. If there is anything else I can help with too, let me know.
Could you also include a link to this thread when sending the email.
Many thanks,
Heidi
