Nothing to do with your ability to hold down and job and socialize with people.

Good luck to your son, but get all the help you can, if you have to appeal.

I am very sorry to hear about your illness. I wish you every success in your appeal, and thank you for your advice regarding my son's claim for ESA. May I ask, how long did it take to receive your initial decision following your medical by ATOS?

I got the result about 7 weeks later. I still got paid, so was hoping I had passed and would be put into the work group.
When I was told I had 0 points, my money was stopped and was told different things by different people, so was without money for weeks.
I was told to appeal in writing, but they didn't tell me I had to get a backdated sicknote.
So I got that and still had to wait longer, while that was processed.
A very stressful time.

It's not just me, loads of people get treated the same.
