By way of update, I thought I'd post a couple of pics of my finished flowers. I used the pattern from etsy in the end, although I only vaguely followed it to put the flowers together. I used a spreadsheet to change the colours around and work out how many of each flower I needed and how many buttons etc to use. I bought felt from the woolfeltcompany website, it's nice and thick and has a lovely soft feel to it. Buttons were from ebay and Boyes in town, but I did struggle to find many nice ones
I cut them all out by hand - it took chuffing ages, but was worth it in the end. You could easily cut and sew one or two flowers in an evening while watching telly.
I made 3 x button holes too for the men.0 -

Does the tutorial recommend how to actually bunch the flowers together, as that's the bit I'm most worried about at the mo!
What is your timescale for making them?
Sorry completely forgot about this thread - apologies for not replying. I got my felt from http://www.buttoncompany.co.uk/
there doesn't seem to be much on the website atm but I got mine from a craft show and they had at least 25 different colours so if you email them I'm sure they could help.
No, the tutorial was just for individual flowers and the bunching together was quite a pain, lots of trial and error but I'm done now! Well apart from possibly decorating the handle with ribbon maybe (and bridesmaids bouquets, corages and buttonholes)
I'll try and post a picture
