3 account hacked

Hi,

Last week I received a text from 3 saying my number had been changed to ****** out of nowhere! I tried calling my original number and it is unobtainable ,so obviously I called 3 to ask what on earth was going on!?
They told me that they had received a call from me (which they hadn't!)requesting a change of number. They insist that whoever called had passed security (impossible as no-one knows my password)
I was very upset and angry and asked them to change it back, they said this would take 48 hours, even though it only took 20 mins to allocate the new number:mad:
They also told me they were taking it very seriously and a senior manager would call me back, that was on Wednesday last week!!
After nothing happening still by yesterday I called them again, this time furious as I still have not got my old number back or a call from the manager.About 10 mins later a manager did call and said he would deal with it personally and call me back.Still waiting:mad:

As it was only supposed to be 48 hours I haven't told anyone my new number so have missed loads of calls etc.
does anyone know what my rights are in this situation and what I can do? I was in touch with them the week before about upgrading to an iphone but now not sure if i want to stay, but both my DD's are on 3 too and the free calls are great.
Please help someone,am loathed to call them again and get even more frustrated.
Thanks

I don't see any point for someone to hack your account and to change your number. This simply makes no sense.
Unless '3' can prove it with a record of the call this is almost definitely their blunder. Not only they are responsible for this error, but they failed to correct it within a reasonable time.

I think you have every right to demand compensation for all trouble and inconvenience.
