I recently sold my Carrera road bike on ebay and got a good bit more than I was expecting. Ebay isn't so bad IMO.0

I have never sold anything on ebay so don't know how the costs work.
We were recently looking for a ladies road bike, for basic triatholon, for my wife.
We followed 3 bikes on ebay and were surprised how much they went for.
In the end we brought a last year model, brand new, of a slightly lesser brand, for about the same but took the view that at least all the gears, wheels, tyres, crank would be new and adequate for her purpose."If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... If you advertise it well, (finishing on Sunday night etc) ebay should do as well as anywhere - although make sure you advertise it as pick up only! Posting bikes is a real pain!0

I'd go with ebay as well.. we got a lot more than we expected for our bike on there (almost as much as what we paid for it!)0
