My Mum has decided to visit friends in New Zealand towards the end of October. She hasn't flown for 30years, and I have never flown so we are like babes in the woods when it comes to booking flights. What advice can anyone give us?
Price is very important!! As is airline reputation. She is happy to fly from Heathrow or Gatwick (or Stanstead....)
Planning to be away for 2-3 weeks.
So far the prices we have looked at online seem to fluctaute wildly between £700 - £1800 economy
Thanks

Do you want to fly to Auckland or Christchurch?
There are airline reviews on https://www.airlinequality.com
Air NZ do Skycouch http://www.airnewzealand.co.uk/economy-skycouch
A travel agent such as https://www.trailfinders.com may have a flight+hotel deal, you only have to book one night in a hotel to get them.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
It all depends on how much you have to spend. Look at air asia if she is up for many changes.. I flew with Thai Air once and it was only one stop ove in Bangkok which wasnt bad.
The sky couch deal is not really going to be for her with air NZ really.. But you could check singapore/emirates who both do decent prices for the journey and i reccomened them both for the trip."If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0 -
limit your changes if you can, it's just headache.
trailfinders are one of the best agents imho, call in to see them if you are near a major city..or ring them if not0 -
