if you paid by credit card speak to them. Mine refunds the difference if you find it cheaper within 30 days.

Unfortunately paid cash. My son bought it out of his 1st ever pay packet, he's only 16 and been working all summer to get one.

You could take the old one back if it develops a fault, eg freezes. Within a month most places will give you full refund no questions asked. Then buy a cheaper one, if you can find someone with stock.

if it does not have a fault, do not make one up.

Seems that some retailers have removed the HP touchpad from their sites as several websites crashed due to the high volume of interest/demand for the product.

    Funny you should say that.
E2save had the HP Touchpad in stock priced at £399 until an hour ago.
I phoned and told them the price of the touchpad in CPW etc but they refused to reduce the price, its now been removed from their site. Wondering if the staff bought them up at £89?

I work for HP & I only found out about this offer from here wish they would of told us 1st.
  • I spoke to 2 friends who work at PC World (Harlow and Crayford) and another friend at HP today. Apparently they genuinely didn't know about the price drop as it came so last minute, by which time pretty much all had been reserved by people like us.

I'm over the moon I managed to snag one but it does seem that a lot of the staff at these places had no idea this was coming so quickly to the UK retailers.

Whether you believe it or not I really do hope those that wanted a one managed to get one.
Almost debt free - except mortgage, personal loan, and two credit cards... oh yes and car! Nearly there
