Ordered the 32gb one from my local Comet (Irvine) this time yesterday when it was priced at £429 collected it this morning, the girl there said that they only had 3 in the stock room and none on display and all had been pre order click and collect. Paid £115.99, guess i'm one of the lucky ones.
Using it now so far so good....
  • I reserved one from Comet yesterday too and got a call yesterday evening asking if I had ordered it because the price was dropping. Told the guy yep and he said it would be ready for me to collect in the morning at £115.99. Result.

I think there would've been enough for everyone who actually wanted one. It's just a shame that the people buying multiple items to flog on auction sites spoil it for genuine wanters. There a absolutely loads on the Bay of E at the moment, perhaps 50x the amount that were on there this time yesterday.

Be extremely careful of pre ordering from EXPANSY......even though the website says that they will not take any monies and will contact you before dispatch, I have had £359.99 taken out of my bank account for a pre order I placed this afternoon.

When I finally got through to the customer service, which was a French call centre, after holding for about 20 minutes, their attitude was appalling!! They couldn't have given a t*ss and gave me no apology, just said "our website crashed because we're receiving too many orders. It's not our fault!! "

They've cancelled my order and said I will be refunded in 24 hours. In the meantime my bank account is overdrawn :mad:.

without wishing to be rude ,i do hope all those selling on ebay for profit remain with their item unsold, smacks of greed, and before anyone comments no i did not manage to secure one,no its not envy,i just wish people would stick to ordering what they require,as oppose to multiple purchases for gain.

I've never had anything but good experience with Expansy, but I have read a lot of BAD reviews... I didn't fancy taking the risk on them...

Although, tbh, I wouldn't place even a pre-order unless I knew I could cover the full cost... It's certainly not worth the bank charges...

Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

So its ok for tescos and the like to do it but not individuals?

    Interesting viewpoint

I called comet at around 11am and they said they had sold the current stock and were due more on the 30th, they could not take order on phone but said to go into store and order, I did this and paid the extra £5 for home delivery as the guy said I would be more likely to get that as they sort out home deliveries before the store orders but could not guarantee that I would receive one so now I just have to wait in hope until next week to see if I have been allocated one, good luck to everyone still trying to get one
