    Hey

I am upset as you are, but what can you do?
I must say though this is totally bad customer service from Argos

I know there is nothing we can do but an apology might have been nice. These retailers donnt seem to have an principles these days.

Ah great, more touchpads destined for ebay as they're milked off before retailers sell them to customers.

I wouldn't buy from ebay on principle atm. If I don't get the touchpad cheap, I'll hold off for Amazon. And if Amazon turns out to be a crock, I'll reminisce about what might have been!!

But seriously, technology is getting cheaper all the time. I will only buy at the right price and preferably from an approved retailer.

I refuse to buy one off ebay too, why should someone profit from people wanting an £89 tablet? Screw them, if I can't get one for £89 I just wont have one.

I wanted an I pad (but would never have paid the price) and really only wanted/needed/would have killed for one of these because of the price. And still would, at a low price.

We heard earlier today that HP would provide updates for the half-dead TouchPad, and maybe even revive it, but now we know for sure: the TouchPad will get one more run at the market.

In a blog post today, HP announced that there are "more TouchPads on the way," built to "meet unfulfilled demand."

Is this because HP wants to give it another brief go, or because component manufacturers have a bunch of TouchPad materials left over?

Gizmodo speculates, via analyst Shaw Wu, that HP ordered over half a million TouchPads from Taiwanese manufacturer Compal and didn't end up shipping the remainder once the TouchPad was formally canceled.

Perhaps it's cost effective to finish building the rest of the TouchPads and then get rid of them for bargain prices. It's unlikely HP will "bring back" the TouchPad, regardless of how well it's selling. After all, this $99.99 tablet is one fifth as expensive as a $499.99 tablet, but not much worse performance-wise.

Either way, more TouchPads will be on store shelves within a few weeks, in a production run that will end on October 31.

According to HP, each retailer will set pricing for the new run of TouchPads
