I would like to cancel my vanquis now- does anyone know the easiest way to do this? I cannot seem to find out how on evanquis....

You'll need to call them but given's Vanquis' frequent wish to not act upon these requests, I'd confirm it in writing to them, too.

I have had a vanquis for 1 year, and used it perfectly (spent about £100 a month on it, repaid in full every month)

I have just been accepted for a RBS your points world Mastercard- 0% for 13 months and 0% balance transfers. They did accept the balance transfer from Vanquis no problem. :T

I have an income of just under 20k, have been with RBS as my bank for 10 years and have had good use of my account for 2 years (Havent missed an interest payment on my overdraft, havent gone over the limit).

I also have a CCJ which is 3 years old.

Accepted for a 0% card with a 3 year old CCJ on your file - that is very lucky!!

Indeed but it seems he did it the right way - concentrate on sorting out bad debt and clearing the adverse before taking out the Vanquis card - showing he can take responsibility for existing issues before starting elsewhere.

Those that add a Vanquis card and other sub prime accounts to an already messy file without concentrating on getting every penny of bad debt settled aren't going to get anywhere, tbh.

Vanquis never make this clear. They try to convince all applicants that holding the card will make their credit file better end of. Simply not true :o

  • I have a vanquis card and rung up the pay the full balance (c. £2k) yesterday morning, it wouldn't let me pay the balance as the min payment came out.

So I logged in and paid the balance on the evanquis site, it went through ok.

However the money is yet to come from my available balance with my bank?

Even if it takes the 3 days to clear or whatever, it should be taken from my available by now?
