Trevor Whitehouse, a director at the Preston-based firm clamping firm (National Clamps) defended the decision and said his staff would continue to clamp on-call doctors.
He said: "You need a permit and we don't have different rules for doctors on call.
"If you don't display a permit you will be clamped and charged for your vehicle's release.
"Our staff will not listen and once they have put the clamp on it is staying on until you have paid- we can't listen to excuses."
I think "scum of the earth" nicely sums up these parasites.

This is the fat git who says clamping is fine if its done properly. Unfortunately doctors are ethical but it would be nice if he could meet one who wasn't when he needed one!0

I suspect that if his face / address becomes public knowledge he may well need the services of a doctor / ambulance sooner than later.
(Not that I condone violent retribution in any way whatsoever of course !)0 -
As I recall that is a well known name in the world of clamping.0

This is the idiot who is going to sue the Government for £4m for lost business when clamping is banned.

Mr Whitehouse, whose company is registered in the British Virgin Islands tax haven, claims to immobilise 1,000 vehicles a month.
Very patriotic of him.What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
The Emergency Workers (Obstruction) Act 2006 doesn't really cover doctors on call unfortunately, unless it becomes an emergency situation. However, if the patient's condition became an emergency and it was quicker for the doctor to drive to A&E instead of waiting for an ambulance, Whitehouse would have been in a world of trouble.0

Shouldn't 'Whitehouse' be spelt with 'S' and not a 'W'?0

Dr Harold Shipman strikes me as being ideal for this oxygen thief.0

Maybe a copy should be sent to our friends at mobilise or whatever they now call themselves.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
