Just to say I had a similar problem a few years ago with TalkTalk and it took 5 months to eventually move away. Even then, they continued to bill us for over a year. They kept denying we'd cancelled yet we had e-mail confirmation of receipt of the cancellation notice. Eventually went to Otello and received compensation but the hassle was unbelieveable. Sorry, doesn't help I know but be prepared for a long wait.

If he's not already reached a deadlock with TT, then they won't be interested.

    HI Split second,

It is correct that if an issue remains unresolved for 8 weeks it can be taken to the ombudsman for consideration.

Prior to this the relevant internal complaints process should be followed and exhausted which includes writing to the head office address. The full details of this can be found in the Code of Practice on the TalkTalk Website.

Alternatively your father in law can register on the forum as Ady has previously advised and we can provide further assistance there. Unfortunately due to limitations in the support we can offer via third party sites we cannot check relevant details via the MSE site to offer more than generic support.
