Rotating / cropping pictures

Never had this problem before, but when I try to rotate or crop pictures, they disappear.
I've looked, but can't find out where they are going, any suggestions please ?

Using what software? What version of Windows?
Do a search for the picture name, and then click on "open file location".
Save the picture in a known location, before modifying it, so you can always get it back.0 -
