Windows 7 - Photo Gallery keeps losing my pics! HELP (where are they)

Hi folks,
Wondered if anyone has had a problem when trying to rotate pics in photo gallery (first time I've used it). Whenever I click on the pic and select rotate the pic just vanishes. I have done a search on the entire computer and they appear to have completely disappeared never to be seen again!.
They are jpg files imported from a Canon camera. Perhaps there is some sort of conflict! Haven't been able to find anything about it on microsoft website. Any help much appreciated.
Thanks very much.

Have you got McAfee?0

Hi, yes I do have McAfee0

Thanks very much will have a look. Fingers crossed as it is driving me mad.0

When you have set the folder options to show hidden files, you should see them in the folder you rotated them in
Hope it goes well0 -
You are a star. They were indeed hidden! Very odd goings on. Haven't worked out the link with McAfee as yet, but it is only a trial version and expires shortly so hopefully that should put an end to the problem. Thank you so much for your help.0

Thank You for letting me know
If you do not intend to keep McAfee, choose its replacement and download it to the PC before removing McAfee so nothing needs to be downloaded without an anti virus programme running
Use Windows to uninstall it and then run their removal tool

My preference for installing is to defragment the drive, set a system restore point, install the programme
Some anti virus programmes will have a one month trial version so you can see if they are suitable if you are going to use a paid for programme, though the free versions are worth considering. Currently Avira or Avast seem to be popular0 -
Good tips thanks very much will definitely keep in mind when I get new anti virus. Thanks again0
