Tiscali users - may save a couple of quid a month...

This post is just for Tiscali Internet users - sorry everyone else

I signed up with Tiscali last May for £14.99 unlimited 1MB broadband and free weekend calls to UK local and national numbers, which was a good deal at the time.

They are now doing the same deal for £12.99 per month, and as I am still in my contract term I can't use the "I'm going to go elsewhere" line to get a discount.

I have discovered that if you log into your account and choose to "upgrade" your package, the £12.99 package is availible to choose, saving me £2 per month. I have chosen it and the change has gone through OK.

Didn't notice anything on there about the change affecting my contract duration or anything, but best check for yourself before you make the change.

i too called tiscali in december to change to the 12.99 package. but as i have changed my bt fone line over to the post office they said i could not have the package as i needed a bt line. ( i never use my land line anyway as i have load of free mobile mins and only have the landline for the net..)
so i called the cancellations department and they offered me the internet only on unlimited for £9.99 with no tie in ..

Thanks for this tip; my Tiscali connection has been fine for 18 months until yesterday, when (long story) they wiped out my main email account causing chaos in my life.:eek: Tonight they offered me £10 compensation for the inconvenience and the address to make a written complaint to. Tomorrow I shall phone the cancellation department and demand the £9.99 deal. Cheers
