What is the star system?

The more you post (write or reply to messages) on the boards, the higher ranked MoneySaver you become. There are five levels and at each you get another star and change of title. The exact thresholds are a closely guarded secret. However it’s all perfectly fair.

It should be noted the rankings are governed by the stars people get. These stars are purely for posting, they don't indicate the quality of information, it's just a bit of fun.

So I survived my first day back at work. It was actually really good to be back. :eek: And I found out my case load is being reduced by a big amount so that's exellent too. :T I also found out I have a long journey to make this for a couple of meetings. So that's £40 I hadn't budgeted for but will be able to claim back. Need to remember to do it this friday so I get the cash as quick as possible.
I have an appointment at the dentist today. I chose the dental hospital instead of my own dentist and saved £20. :T I'm loving being a cheap skate, I think it suits me.

Otherwise, it should be a quiet 10 days until payday. It's my mum's birthday next month so I need to get busy making her a pressie or thinking of something very cheap or both. Hmmm. I've already got an idea for making a card so might get onto that at the weekend. The whole lot needs to be posted too so need to get it organised in good time.

OH sold a pair of skates yesterday so £20 in the pot. Also due money for some pretty wooden things sold so that will be another £24. It's all money off the abbey card. :T We're getting there, very slowly but it's happening.

Btw, I visited my pal and after a large glass of red wine persuaded her to do a budget. After a bit of an 'oh my god I'm skint' downer she got really excited about all things mse and has her first mystery shop booked this week. :j I've converted someone to an mse lifestyle. Yey! Talking of which, I have my own mystery shop today and need to not forget. Another tenner for the pot.

Spoke too soon. Just spent 80 'unbudgeted for' pounds on a new shed roof as the old one is absolutely bust.

As am I, almost. My dream of buying a year's road tax is rapidly fading but I'm not giving up yet.
