    ive sent you a pm
reminds me of being back at school
quickest way to get peoples backs up
Sorry to have 'got your back up'. The reason I sent a PM is that there is a rather complicated way of getting a really nice hotel in Prague for a very low price but it takes a bit of patience and effort. If you're interested, I'll gladly PM you too - you only have to ask.

Hi everybody. We have just booked the intercontinental prague at the beginning of December, never been there before and have no idea where to start!! Would appreciate some input as to what best to do in four days. A little bit about ourselves: We usually do a tour bus of the city to get an idea/feel for the place, we don't mind walking, we have varied interests and are not adverse to a few drinks in the evening, with some nice food thrown in for good measure.

Visited Prague for 5 days in April. City small enough to virtually walk everywhere if you don't want to hop on a tram or metro. Didn't see any tour buses but plenty of walking tours from Old Town Square.

Free tour run by Extravaganza walking tours was fab. Meet in Old Town Square o/s Tourist Info Office at 11 or 3 every day and get a free tour of the old and castle areas of Prague. Takes about 3 hrs or you can split it over 2 days by joining the tour at Charles Bridge. Klara was a fantastic guide. Recommended places to eat, sights to see. Great for orientating yourself around at start of a holiday.

Visit Petrin Hill and Tower for fantastic views, Castle area and Strahov Monastery and Brewery. TV Tower. Wittman Tours also do lots of minibus trips from o/s Intercontinental.

Check out forum in Tripadvisor. Loads of useful info on getting from airport, sights, food, tipping etc. Proved totally invaluable.....in addition to MSE of course!:)

My husband and I stayed at the K and K Central Hotel a few years back and it was absolutely amazing. The hotel was stunning, the bed to die for and they even had a breakfast available until 11am (12pm at the weekends) which had the most incredible selection of foods imaginable, including cheesecake and sparkling wine. I would recommend it to anybody :D

I also stayed at this hotel with my friend for a weekend. We got a bargain on Expedia and paid only £50 for two nights. Coincidentally the flight was only £25 too, so all in all a cheap break away. It was in February though, not Christmas, which I am sure is bound to be more expensive.

Just done a quick check on Expedia and you can get a five star hotel (Eurostars Thali) from 20th - 23rd December inc breakfast for £213.

If you are looking for a package including flights, from London you can stay in a four star hotel for 3 nights inc flight for £278 inc breakfast (thats for both not each).

Ooh! If it's not too much trouble would you mind PM-ing me this? We go to Prague frequently and i like to think i'm quite good at hotel locations and prices, this would be very interesting.

    thanks

sorry to jump in on the thread, but am off to Prague, staying at Hotel Atos, has anyone experienced that hotel, on b+b, also can anyone recommend any best places to go to, or trips to do, the problem is I'm disabled on crutches, so most adventures are limited in terms of big walks...
Cheers in advance if anyone can help. xx
