What are my rights?
I have a contract with 3.
They have not provided me with a phone under this contract, it is for supply of call minutes and mobile internet access only.
I have purchased a Samsung Omnia 7 via Ebay.
I now find that, although the contract is very cheap (£7pcm for 500 mins & 2.5gb internet) the coverage that 3 provide is to put it mildly, poor- its a retention deal that I took when I had a basic phone.
I do not want to continue with the contract with 3 as I now have a good phone but find that all too often I simply cannot use it.
Since I am not paying for a phone as part of the contract, and as I am dissatisfied with the service, I feel that I ought to be able to terminate the contract rather than wait till the contract expires.
What are my rights?
Regards
Mike

You have no rights to cancel the contract, no mobile provider guarantees coverage at all times0

No rights I'm afraid.
They offered you a better than normal deal in exchange for a long term commitment and you agreed to this.
Also, I am no expert, but I think as '3' don't offer 2g signal the coverage is the same for calls, texts and data, i.e. you had an opportunity to check the signal before taking the long contract.
Having said that, you may try complaining to their executive office. There were stories of success in terminating contracts because of poor signal.0
