10MB upgrade to 30MB?

I currently have 10MB with VM (non wireless modem), and can be upgraded to 30MB, where VM will supply me with free wireless modem, with extra £6 p/m.
Does an engineer come around again for installation, or it is DIY.

I find it highly suspect that no new contract is required.
The concept of "free lunch" is unheard of to Virgin, and just because a new contract wasn't signed/posted, I can almost guarantee a 12mth minimum term will be tacked on to the date of upgrade.I am an IFA, but nothing I say on this forum constitutes financial advice. I know what you mean about Virgin, but I assure you that he got it without signing a new contract. Possibly it was just a reflection of how long he has been a customer.''apply within''

I would challenge him to call them and ask him if he is tied into his plan for any length of time - I'll bet they've counted that as a renewal of the contract. They don't mension the word contract and like I said, no more documents are required due to verbal agreement. I'd only think otherwise if he had a letter explicitly stating the upgrade was without a new contract. Already done and they didn't renew.
Like you, I don't trust Virgin to keep their word on anything but they do seem to have with the example I gave.''apply within''
