I just noticed that on thursday my current account was debited £60...with orange (a/pm/01) as the name....I haven't made any payments and I searched a few other places and found 2 other people that had the same thing done - only it started with £100 and then they got £700 took...
Ringing bank first thing in the morning - this is the first time anything suspicious has came up on my account... now I'm freaking out about security and all...I'm a student.....will the bank pay me back the £60....I'm going on holiday in September and freaked out if another transaction is done and I lose a lot of my spending money etc....
Anyone had any bother with similar Orange (a/pm/01)

Why are you ringing the bank in the morning? You should be ringing them now.0

Are they open Sundays for calls?
I couldn't find a number on the site - just emergency numbers for lost or stolen cards - but my card isn't lost or stolen?
My dad works at my bank and said to call tomorrow?
I'm confused now...0 -
Why ring in the morning if it were me i would be on the phone right now!!0

Got my card cancelled - now need to get through to branch tomorrow to get new card and figure out if it was a direct debit (if it is then its account instead of card) or a one off payment.....paranoid much.,...0

Well it's easy to know, if it's a DD, then you must see the DD instruction in your online banking! If it's not there, then how could they DD you? If it's the case, then the bank is at fault. They can't allow a DD without having instructions.
Something like that happens often with Smile accounts, because sometimes we can see the transaction on the online banking, even if the DD has been declined! How stupid is this..I know. But it stays there for a whole day on the online banking (although declined and therefore not taken out of your account) and disapear only the next day.0
