Hi. I had some old travellers cheques that i planned on using when going away but realised i had signed them where i was supposed to countersign them not on the top right corner.
Can i still use them or will i have to have them replaced, which will be a pain as i am going away in a couple of days

I dont think they will be accepted.
Replacement is the only way for peace of mind.
It may be a pain, but it will be more of a pain when you get to where youre going and they are declined.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
You'll probably be fine. Just sign them at the top when you cash them. Any time I cash TC's, no-one seems to pay much attention when you sign them anyway.0

Yes probably, not definitely as no-one can be certain. I can only comment on my own experience of cashing travellers cheques, mostly recently in May this year at several different places.
What is your most recent experience that makes you think they will definitely not be accepted as this might help the OP decide whether to risk it or not?0 -
What currency are they in?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

Couple of years ago a young girl sold me traveller cheques at the Building society, I signed in front of her in one part, she said nothing, it wanst till i got home looking at them that I realsied I'd signed them in the wrong place, when I took them back to the BS I was told it was just as well that I had becuase they wouldnt have beeb accepted. I too can only go on that experience and so suggested that to the op for peace of mind.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

went to barclays where i got them from and after them phoning about 100 people, they said "there should not be a problem with them being accepted". so its their fault if i cant use them0

If they are sterling, I'd just cash them at Barclays and start again.
Phoning about 100 people to get a 'should not' be a problem and not a 'will not' be a problem, isn't very conclusive IMHO.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0
